Like so many before it, last winter showcased yet another generation of champions. Our best-ever olympic season was followed by string of exciting results that put Alpina athletes on top and kept them there from one competition to the next. It became clear once more that a winning spirit and advanced technology create a combination to be reckoned with.

Yes, we were proud - not only for winning 16 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP medals, but because these were won by racers from different countries, both women and men, in all disciplines: the biathlon, cross-country, and Nordic combination. At the World Championship in Italy, biathlon racers won 8 medals (2 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze). At the Nordic WCS in Japan, cross-country racers won 6 medals (2 gold, 2 silver, and 2 bronze) and Nordic combined racers took 2 bronzes. The same year, Alpina racing team members won 16 World Cup races and made an additional 46 APE on the podium Our skiers ranked between 4th and 10th place in a whopping 199 World Cup trials.
